So look what happened to my sisters 02 QuadCab...



She let a friend take it to home depot and the wheel fell off in the parking lot. It busted the knuckle up, so I am relpacing the knuckle and hub assembly. Here is my problem: I worked on removing the knuckle for about 4 hours and got NOWHERE! I cant get ANY of the 3 ball joints out of the knuckle. I was told they would just take a little nudge with a hammer after i pulled the nuts off. I ended up using a pickle fork and a 3lb hammer.. no luck.. All i did was ruin the ball joints, and they still didnt come out. I have new ball joints on the way, but I was hoping someone could point me in the right direction on getting this damn knuckle off! any help would be appreciated!

hope this helpes...PB blaster...and lots....and i think if you have the truck on a jackstand letting the suspension hit full droop the balljoint should pop off....also KEEP THE NUT SLIGHTLY THREADED not doing so **** will go flying and you might get hurt..only from experience lol

I had jackstands under the frame. That picture was taken before i started working on the truck. Thanks for the help.. I will give it a shot!
