power is down, mileage is down.

My next plug change will be the NGK Iridium plugs. I have the NGK 5306 plugs now and like their performance, however, they will not last as long as the Iridium plugs.

well i have been running the E3's for about a month now. and they suck! the idle isnt bad always, but sometimes ill be sitting at a stop light and the rpms drop to 500 and the truck starts to vibrate. give it some gas and it goes back up to about 650.

im changing them back to NGK. my only question is should i get the iridium laser cut ones? or should i get the regualr copper NGK? price doesnt matter, i just want to know whats the better plug for this truck

I Goggled NGK SPARK PLUGS, and searched parts for my 04 1500 4.7 and found.
V-Power part# G-Power part# Laser Platinum part# Iridium IX PART# My questions is What type should I use. My 4.7 is still stock with a KN filter change in the original compartment. Also Denso also kept coming up during my search. Is this also a Good Plug in regards to Iridium?

Before 'judging' a new spark plug
sharpen all the edges on the OEM plugs
re-gap them
index them so the 'ground posts'
both face outward
so that the 'flame kernel' can grow nearly all directions
without having this post 'shield'
some part of the combustion chamber.

with two sparkplugs per chamber
what are the chances that some new plug design
is going to give great gains?

You are correct, HankL's information is about a Hemi. However, FYI the new 4.7 ('08) also has 2 plugs per cylinder.

ok ok. Mine only has 8 plugs but that's not the question. My question is are iridiumcs better than the coppers?
