The only time my truck sees a shop is if it's under warranty or if I just don't have time to mess with it right now.

Just a quick question, though. You don't mind working on something that could leave you flying through the air at high speed if you miss tightening even a single nut, and yet you are reluctant to work on your truck?
Ha! That's a very valid point. I'm pretty meticulous with the bike, no nutor screw goes un-torqued or safety wired.

My problem is that if I screw up the truck I have no way of getting the bike to the track.

I picked up the filters for the tranny from the stealership. Although the OEM fluid was $32 per gallon. Any recommendations on tranny fluid?

I just picked up some Mopar ATF+4 at WalMart. It was $4-$5 a quart.

A tranny service is easy, a tranny flush is a little more involved. Servicing just replaces 7 quarts or so of the old fluid with new. Using a machine, the flush took me 20 litres to completely replace all the fluid.

If I didn't have access to the machine, I wouldn't have bothered. Why change half fluid when you can change it all out??
