Default RE: Cortex tuner or Flashpaq?

From my understanding, tunes are the same on both. The big thing with the Cortex was supposed to be it took care of whole product lines on each. Which was really no big deal since you could only run it on one vehicle at a time. I think they kinda struck out with the Cortex anyway, at the higher price, as they seem to be adding multiple vehicles to each Flashpaq now...

So this has been my question about tuners..

Say my buddy and I both have 1500 QC Hemis. Can we buy a tuner and both use it on our trucks? If not, why not? I am really sorry if this is a stupid question but I am completely new to electronic HP.

If you could do it, don't you think everyone would be?

They are VIN locked to the first vehicle you install it on. You can use it on a second vehicle (or third, etc.) only provided you uninstall it from the previous one...
