Tranny and Diff
Thats true sos... which is kind of why I wanted to change at least the diff (because of the known C-Clip problem)
And Mike, thanks for the approx values. I plan on taking it in to get the tranny fluid swapped because I hear it can be kinda hard. However, I want to do the diff myself.

You can save as much as a c-note changing the tranny fluid yourself. It isn't hard, just messy. Get a pan gasket, eight quarts of fluid, and the flat filter. You'll need a catch pan, and a lot of newspaper. A torque wrench is almost a must.
Ha, it all depends what you plan on doing. If you do a proper pump/flush, my tranny took 20 litres to completely replace the fluid.
The 7 quarts listed above only freshens up the tired fluid with some new stuff. It holds more than that.
If u use RP in the rear, you don't need no friction modifier.....But otherwise, its the whole little MOPAR bottle, I can't remember the volume of the bottle, but I could check my manual if you really need it. I know I read it somewhere in there.
Also, 5w20 is recommended by the dealers here in Ontario. I have an 04 1500QC HEMI

Don't know if it's the same with your 05 vs. my 07, but the heavy service schedule (I have to follow it because I tow almost every day) says to change diff fluids every 15k. I THINK it's twice that if you use your truck lightly. Either way, you're due to change the diff now.
