just tap a new bung

if you ever get the truck tuned or re-tuned it will be faster and more accurate

well a universal o2 sensor with 1 wire is actually really cheap. and how much could it cost to weld in a bung? if my exhaust guy told me anything more than $25 i think i would tell him to kiss my ***. now if i weld in a bung and a seperate o2 sensor.....would that be a wide or narrow band? and where would the extra 02 sensor go? on the driver side after the 2nd cat, after the farthest to the back o2 sensor?

the gauge you have is a narrowband and is for the most part worthless..A wideband will show the actual A/F numbers, for example 14.7...the extra o2 should be installed as close to the exhaust manifold as possible, dosnt matter what side it is installed in (driver/passenger)

so even if i weld in a bung, which i need to get as close to the manifold as possible, with its own o2 sensor hooked directly to my autometer guage, its still going to be narrow band? only way to get it to be wideband is with a wideband guage? the hell with that, those guages are a couple hindred dollars. ill stick with my guage i got and be done with it.

Yes to both questions...if you ever do engine mods; headers, cam, etc you will want to get a wideband

alright. thanks dude. i wont need a wideband since i have no intentions for headers or a cam. so ill stick with a simple weld of a bung, stick the 02 sensor in and wire up my guage. thanks for the input. now since i got this guage, i dont want to have a single guage on my a pillar. so if i get an oil temp guage and trans temp guage.....how do i hook those up? will the guage come with a probe or what?
