Default '08 4.7l big throttle lag

This thing is bad. Dealer said they don't look at anything unless the check engine light is on.
Has anyone been able to cut down on the lag time-I know mine is worse than the average '08.

Also, would any of you knowingly buy a vehicle with a 1-2 second response time to the gas pedal? I need to run a few other brands and see if they have driveable systems yet.

Welcome to the world of "Drive by Wire". Because the throttle operates through the PCM (computer) and not directly, there is a delay between the foot on the pedal and the command for more gas from the PCM.
As this delay is intentionally programmed into the PCM by the manufacturer, it can be changed. Most good tuners cut the delay time down to barely noticeable levels in their tunes. So buying a good tuner should fix it for you.

Like Hammer said it can be changed, but good luck finding one for the 4.7. I tried and tried.

The Superchips Flashpaq now supports a host of other Dodge truck & SUV engines besides the Hemi.
Although the 4.7 through '03 is currently supported, I'm told by one of the calibration team that engine support after '03 will be back-filled from '08 back and will start in just a matter of weeks.
Pretty good news for 08 & 07 4.7 owners, although it kinda sucks for '04 guys.

So I've got the SC 3815 set in performance. Rev limiter set at 6000 and shift points set at 5800. How can I eliminate the throttle lag with my SC 3815?

Thread on the Flashpaq Forum that discusses that exact thing:
