I'm not sure if the '05 is the same as my '08, but considering my '00 Dakota was very similar, I am guessing it is... Open the glove box, let it drop fully open, then squeeze the two sides in the back together until the rubber bumpers clear the sides of the dash where they hit. Once you do that, pull the glove box open further and it will come right down. I did mine the other day, and from the looks of it, the Sirius is still hard to reach even with the glove box removed.

On my 2003 the Sirius box is behind and above the glovebox opening. To remove the glovebox, I had to locate the two plastic tongues at the back of the open lid and force them down to clear the stops. The door will then swing all of the way down and come out of the half hinges altogether

You need to look up behind where the glove box is. On mine, the Sirius component is screwed onto a steel frame tube and I believe it is a bugger to get at. I left mine where it was and instaled a Pioneer 6000 head unit ad Pioneer XM tuner which went under and behind the back seat on my quad cab. Man I love this Pioneer unit !!!

this is out of the service manual...
REGULAR CAB

Disconnect and isolate the battery negative cable.
Place front passenger seat in the forward position.
Remove the mounting fasteners.
Disconnect the antenna cable and electrical harness connectors.
Remove the satellite receiver.
