Default 7/70 Warranty Transfer on a 2007 Yr Model??

So I'm the second owner of my '07 Ram 2500 Hemi & I've read where folks are able to go to the dealer and spend $150 to get the 7/70 warranty transferred.

I try it today, and the dealer say's that was only for '05-'06 models ... that it did not include the '07 model or the 3/4 ton trucks. They said all I have is the 3/36 or I can buy a non-Chrysler extended warranty for around $1300+.

Does this sound right? Has anybody with a 2007 been able to transfer a 7/70 warranty?

If you are referring to the 7/70 powertrain 2005 was the last year for that.

07's came with the lifetime for original owner, I doubt it's transferable

Go with an after-market extended, if you feel you need it. "Warranty Direct" seems to have decent prices and coverage. Or you could put the $1,300 in the bank and let it be your emergency repair fund.

Thanks ... at-least I know the dealer wasn't pulling my leg now.

I'm a bit concerned 'cause I'm already having tranny issues at 11k miles ... maybe I'll look at the aftermarket extended warranty or just unload it near the end of the 3/36.
