I have the APC light bar and love it, very bright. I has double sided tape on brackets that you screw the assembly to. Yes, it covers the crank hole, but as the unit is screwed to the brackets, you have only to take two screws out to get the spare down. Not that big of a problem.

 

I didn't know about a light bar DIY, I'll have to do a search. I know he did one on cab lights, he got his set about a month after I did mine. He bugged me almost as much as MMStar did about them.
But RedRam did an excellent job on the DIY, so good in fact, that I believe Recon ships the DIY on paper with every set ofDodge cab lights sold...

Do you have the APC unit with the scanning turn signals and reverse lights? If so do you by any chance have pics of it or even better video of the scanning in action? I've been thinking about this unit, but i'm always hesitant to buy it online without seeing what it looks like.

 

Can you send a pic? There is not much room in there and I can't visualize the space needed for the spare tire accesses.

i searched and searched for the bully one. only one i can find is the regular ol red one, no scanning turn signal and no white for reverse. HOWEVER, at my work, we sell the bully that has red scanning turn signal and white reverse. its $79.99. my employee discount saves you 20% which is $16. so your looking at $65 for exactly what you want. you just pay shipping and send me a check and its yours. let me know dude. i can buy it later this week if you want.

oh and if you want, i could buy it, plug it into my truck real quick and take a video of it in action, email it to you and if you like it ill ship if, if not, then ill just return it, but thats if you want.

I really like your offer to show what it looks like in action. I'm probabaly overly concerned about the fit and finish, but hell, that's what makes our modded trucks look great. It'd be great if you can do the quick video, and maybe a closeup photo or two of what it looks like on the truck.
