Do you mean a hemi swap or do you want to bore/stroke the 4.7 to a 5.7?

I dunno but I think you could do just about anything with enough fabrication... but definatly without the stock drivetrain.

5000 bucks for a bare bones blower is a little steep... BUT thats including labor... so NO that's NOT a bad deal. Honestly the parts will cost up wards 4,000 bucks So although the price appears to be a bit on the high side... its not highway robbery.

As as far as doing a HEMI SWAP, yes it is possible but NO it will not be cheaper then adding a blower to the 4.7L. 8-10lbs of boost on a 4.7L will have most HIGHLY modded 5.7L's trying to catch up.

he said a procharger on a 4.7 will have a HIGHLY MODDED hemi trying to catch up. And I think I have to agree. Though the older 4.7s had less hp than the current ones don't they?

the 'ring land' at the top of the old 4.7 piston is very thin
and just a little detonation can destroy them
but perhaps with E85 fuel you can supercharge to low psi boost
if you add $600 more to the $5200
to purchase a J&L Electronics knocking sensing protection unit

for about the same $ you could probably transplant a 6.1 Hemi V8 in
from a SRT8 junkyard donor

Put a LSx engine in for that money.

Have you looked at Kennebells web site I have one on my mustang that is an easy install and its a roots blower so say good bye to that lag time of 3000+ rpm till you get the boost and you will gain even more torque if you ever tow.

We are a vendor for J&S and we HIGHLY SUGGEST the Vampire Direct Ignition. We have been offering them for over a year now... GREAT PRODUCT & HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! Ohh yeahh... they are included in the price of our Supercharger kits. I would not run a performance based Modular engine without a J&S Direct Ignition system.

Just to let you know I looked at Kenne Bell and they dont make a kit at this time but I know they are always looking for new kits to make so try calling them. When I got mine for my mustang i was only 2 weeks late on them making it off of someone elses car.
