When I got my long bed it came with just a bed mat no side protection or inner tailgate cover. During my 7 months of having it I messed it up in there pretty good. Allot of deep scratches right into the metal. I am going to treat the surface rust spots and give it a few coats of primer and touch up paint. So once thats done I want to get a tailgate cover. Is the normal factory Dodge one the same as the mopar version? I was going to buy a new one for a dodge ram 1500 year 2002 for $30 from a private sale. I see the mopar oem are $40 online. Any difference?

How about getting it Rhino Liner or Linex installed? It will prevent further rust and looks better IMO than a plastic liner.
