Default Any one with an 07 thinking about after market intakes

I ordered the airaid modular intake tube for my 07, and found that the air temp sensor in the 07 has changed location from the previous years (its now right next to the tb as opposed to over the passenger side of the intake manifold) and that the intake had not yet been updated to handle this change of location. It was no big deal to fix...just required a little fabricaton but I thought I would point out that this could be a problem for anyone with an 07 looking for an after market intake.

it is not duct tape and bailing wire, I got a rubber stopper and it would have happened on the one you got except I would be drilling through metal instead of plastic

Yeah, I had that same problem with mine. I got a True flow XDI intake and I had to cut the air temp sensor wires to make it fit. But it works just fine.

no kiddin but its better than that stock pos. I just got the modular intake tube from airraid...still have the paper filter that came with the truck...and noticed a big difference, which really speaks poorly for chrysler.

So those of you that have cut the wire, what did you use to extend it? I had to cut a hole in my intake for the sensor and when I did it I made it so that with my powerwire it would reach easily. The problem is that without my powerwire I'm about 3 inches too short. I have been getting bad mileage lately which is mostly due to short less than 3 mile trips but I was wanting to check my MPG without my powerwire to see if it gets any better. In order to test this I need to extend my cord.

I just drilled a hole in the intake about where the stock one was and put a plug in the one that was closer to the air box, but any brand of wire would work for your purpose provided you get the right thickness, just make sure you get a good connection especially if you don't solder the wires.

just use the same size wire, and do one at a time, that way you dont accidently cross them. I solder all my wire, and the use some heat shrink tubing or electrical tape over the solders.

You could always use an Air Temp Sensor EXTENSION WIRE.... Similar to a POWER WIRE without the POWER... They are about 12-13" long!
