coil packs

Default coil packs

hey guys
i have a 2003 ram 1500 4.7 and i went to change the plugs on it the other day and i cant get the coil packs off to get to the spark plugs. i took the 10mm nut off but the coils dont budge. any ideas or tricks to help get them off?

The ones on my Dakota 4.7L used to stick too. They pull straight up, but it might take some force if they've been on there a while.

Just wiggle them a little bit and pull up at the same time..

I just changed mine on my 4.7 just like AIR RAM said take the bolt out and wiggle them a little front to back and pull up as if the were clipped in at the top of the spark plug. Took me about 30 min from start to finish.

Also a thought change the PCV valve if it is time to change the plugs. Its a 4 to 5 doller part that makes a big difference.
