Talking I'm very impressed....

last week end i had my Magnaflow cat-back exhaust put on. besides the awesome sound,
my truck accelerates quicker, seems to have more "pep in her step".
but today i really put her to the test, I'm working in Encino, CA this week (north of Hollywood) i had to drive to Anaheim pick up our 20' dual Axel open trailer, then drive to San Diego, CA and load approx 4500 lbs of synthetic turf. drive back to Anaheim and unload the turf and reload a material spreader which is approx 4000 lbs. and take it back to Encino, ca. doesn't sound too bad..... this is LA traffic on a Friday. it don't get any worse.
I'm not sure what the total weight in tow was,(maybe around 10K?) but i had no problem passing others when i needed or just wanted, 55mph while towing, please? that's not even the most impressive part..... my computer console said i was getting 14.2 mpg during the transit. i didn't believe it but when i did the math myself it was actually 14.6 mpg. thats 2 mpg more than when i had the stock exhaust. and i was towing for about 300 miles in LA traffic, with the A/C on the whole time.

I'm still very impressed

I have a Magnaflow 22" on mine, si/so and love it. Not as loud as I would like, so I am changing the exit location to the front of the tire, not the rear. Hope it works okay and not much drone.

Default exhaust

i think between this forum and youtube that magnaflow is what i am going with. not sure on the length but its going to be si/do behind the rear tire same side as stock. can't wait for this.

deeztha1, how was the drone inside the cab? that is something i can not deal with to much. thanks

i'm not surprised by his mpg. we've been seeing some pretty good mpg numbers on the forum for people towing and hauling.

Default Drone? Resonators?

Hey guys, Couple quick questions.

Are you getting much drone / resonance in the cab?
I had a Gibson system on my, dare I say, Chevy extended cab, and it resonated something fierce.
I'm pulling an RV and can't live with a lot of drone.

2nd question

Are you installing a full cat-back system or just replacing the muffler? Are you leaving in the resonators?

I'll be installing on an '07 quad cab Ram.

Thanks for your comments.
