I've had my ram 1500 4.7 L (2 door) since Oct. 2007 but for the last couple of months I've noticed that when I roll down either power window, they squeek or squeel. Anyone else have this problem? I want to have the windows tinted, but I'm afraid that this squeeling is from something rubbing the windows, therefore it would probably scratch up the tint. Anyone else got this problem on any Dodge ram?

 

I would think you would see a mark on the window if it was scraping the window. It might be part of the mechanism, i.e. a gear or motor that is squeaking. The grease could have dried out or it just wasn't greased enough.

 

"I would think you would see a mark on the window if it was scraping the window." I went out and looked and noticed that there is a scratch mark on the windows where something is scraping.........no recalls that I can find.......guess Dodge is gonna have to give me new windows.............

 

Call your dealer and take it in...

 

My '07 drivers door "squeaks" on the down stride also. The felt weather stripping looks clean, so I figured it's the regulator or something.

 

I have the same issue on my drivers side door. Havent looked for a scratch and I dont hear it every time (or I dont notice it every time)...weird.
