I haven't posted in a while and I know the check engine light questions have been answered millions of times so forgive me for asking again. My 07's check engine light came on today. Truck is running great no problems that I can see or feel. I know there are hundreds of things it could be but do the 07's have anything specific to them? Also, how do I check my trouble codes? Someone told me they would show up in my odo if i did the on/off/on/off/on thing. I'm not upset that the light is on or that it may need fixed but I absolutely do not want to take it to the dealer. Everytime I do it comes back with something and the inside is dirty. Lately they let those 18 year old techs park the trucks and they adjust the mirrors, tilt stearing and every adjustable part of the seat just so they can be comfortable for the 10 feet they have to drive it and it makes me angry.

 

You need to get the code read. Autozone and other parts places will do it for free.

Once you have the Pxxxx code, please post it.
