my 05 ram has the cd changer buttons (has the word disc on the #1 and on the #5) but not sure if it has a cd changer. do all the trucks have these even if they dont have a cd changer equipped? or am i just having trouble using the darn thing?

 

in my case yes (03). my buttons are marked and i did not have the changer. i bought the external changer and hooked it up and it works great. as for you, you need to determine if you have the in-dash changer or not. i forget the mfgr code. i believe whether you have the in-dash or not you can still hook up the external changer.

 

What it has is the changer controller. Be careful of the money. Often you can put in an entire system for what the changer costs, and get better equipment.
