CAI and Cat Back Exhaust?

RE: CAI and Cat Back Exhaust?
Chances are that you're not getting more air to the engine. The stock set-up is pretty good. The best you can do is get a true "cold" air set-up which the stock system is not. If you look at the system good, you can see that the air being taken in is influenced by the heat in the engine bay. If you extend the intake from the stock box to below the radiator support, you can get the coldest air available.
AS for the computer adjusting for increased air volume, I don't think it will. From everything I've read people are saying that they are not getting anything when they go to an expensive CAI system.
Now if you want the look, well you have to do what you need to do.
Good luck.

I was gonna spend alot on a CAI, upwards of $300, and just decided to put a Flowmaster 40 series muffler on and go with a polished CAI with a larger filter (can be bought for pennies on eBay, compared to the overpriced name brands out there which do the same thing). It may not be all that functional, but it will add to the look under the hood and definately will add some more sound to the Hemi.

Watch out for some of those shiny CAI's on ebay. Make sure they aren't dropping the diameter. The TB is 3.375 inches inside diameter and is the smallest cross section in the stock system. You don't want to go smaller than that. The ones from liveonspeed and others are only 3inches outside diameter. Why choke your engine? Good luck.
