Default Question about Discount Tire

I am in need of tires pretty soon. I am curious if any of you know if Discount Tire ever has deals or promos as Christmas time nears. I am debating on whether I should buy the tires now or if I should hold out for another 2-3 months.

Also, have any of you ever used their CarCareONE financing plan? If so, how was it?

discount tire will price match anything you find. get the price of tires off of tire rack (chepest i've ever found) and take them to discount tire. mind you they will charge for shipping if its a tire they don't normalyl carry, but tire rack would charge you shipping anyway.

Yeah I had heard this before. However, tirerack does not carry the tire I want. (Cooper Zeon LTZ). So thats not really an option.

The reason I am asking is because when I checked Discounts website yesterday, these tires were $244 a piece.... today they are $174 a piece. I am in total shock and almost want to just go down there now and get them in case it is a computer screw up. I have not seen them this cheap since this time last year.

If it was me, and I saw that kinda price difference and the new price is better then I have seen anywhere, I would not have wasted the time you've wasted on this thread. I'da had them mounted already...

Lol Hammer. Well, I printed a price quote from them and it says at the bottom "This price quote was created on 08/19/2008. Prices shown will be honored at the store listed on this page for 30 days."

Trust me, if I wasnt making $7/hr and in college they would have been on also. I am just gonna keep an eye on them for the next week or so and see what the price does.

I have used there car care credit card before, but I have always paid it off before the 0% interest went away. Depends on what you spend you can have up to 1 year with no interest. But if you don't pay it off in time, all the interest accumulated on the card from the beginning will be put on there.
