Default Alignment Problem

Just purchased a 2002 Ram QC 4X4. I replaced the two front tires (275/60/20 GY HP) with new ones. After replacing the tires the truck now wants to pull to the right. I'm aware the dealer did an alignment just before I purchased the vehicle.

I thought alignments were for the wheels and not the tires. Would replacing the worn tires with new tires cause this problem after alingnment?

Any thoughts or comments would be appreciated.
Thanks,

I had the same problem on my little yoda after I replaced the tires all around. . .all the shop did was swap the front tires and that solved the problem

I would still take it to the shop and inquier

Take a peek at this fer a few. Pulling isn't always alignment related.

The alignment equip wasn't the intended target. What I was trying to show you is the GSP9700 wheel balancer that uses Straight Trak to diagnose and correct for tire pull which is different than an alignment issue. Any alignment shoud be accompanied by a balance w/ Straight Trak to get the best results.

Thanks again. I looked up the GSP9700 Wheel balancer, the shop I'm going to has that equipment. Not sure if they used it. I'll be sure to let them know, I want the tires balanced with the Straight/Trac system. I'll let you know what happens, got an appointment Saturday morning at 7:30 am.

Just tell 'em you want your tires "Force Matched" w/ the 9700. If they are worth their weight in salt they will know what you mean.
