Yes it is most noticable when it kicks in as a result of an other than stock muffler but it's not like anyone outside your car hears the sound of your engine while you are drivin down the road at 50mph.

Honestly if all I wanted was good gas mileage I wouldnt of bought a hemi. Second, as I stated above the problem just isnt the highway, the highway would be cool but it happens all over at anytime at any speed, not just on the highway. Third, I disagree people do hear the difference on the outside and inside. Fourth it also takes longer to type a single character on the keyboard for it to kick back and forth twenty times from one stop light to the next, in, out, in, out, in, out, in, out.

I like the idea, I dont like how it functions right now and personally when I go to buy a hemi im buying a hemi for a reason, I think dodge would be better off to make this an option.

Dont get me wrong I still love my truck, the OD, tow haul trick worked well today, as does manually shifting.

Amen brother, I've stated a zillion times, I bought a big bad 8 cylinder truck and I want my 8 cyls. all the time, thank you very much. That's why when I trade my '04 non-MDS Hemi in, it'll be on either a CTD or if I can't justify the $ then it'll be a 2500 Hemi...

Not that I'm bashing the MDS version, most like it, it's just not for me. Oh, and don't think it's just Dodge, GM & Ford are going that way in their 1/2 tons too...

Nope...06. The last place to get vehicle advice is from car salesmen...seriously. I'd ask a 80 year old lady before a sales guy..

MDS debuted on Hemi based 1500 series Dodge Trucks with the 2006 models... And continue to be used on ALL 1500 series Hemi's except MegaCabs...

You're better off anyway IMO...i'd rather have a 05. After just a few bolt-ons I started noticing the "MDS bump" which is a little harsher transition from 4 to 8 cylinders. I also find it harder to maintain a steady speed on the highway. I don't mind the exhaust though...I think it sounds good either way.

All I have to say is hurry up Diablosport...MDS is the first thing i'm tuning out. If i'm going to go on a 1000 mile highway trip then i'll turn it back on...otherwise F it.
