New with question
Hello everyone, I am new to the forum and was hoping to get some advice. I have an 05 1500 Ram SLT. Its a reg cab with the hemi engine, 4x4. Can anyone tell me the best place to get a leveling kit? And with leveling kit isntalled, what is the largest tire that can be put on the truck? Thanks for the help, I hope I will be able to put some good back into this forum/.
top gun custom seems to be the most popular. can fit 35" with a little bit of rubbing when turning all the way to one side or the other.
I think the 05s had a torsion bar front suspension, so you could just crank up the torsion bars also.
either way, if you level, get an alignment done.

perfectly level is about 2.25", I think the 2" kits are good, others like the 2.5" ones.
I cranked the t-bars up on two friends trucks when I lived in Ga. One loved it, and drives it like that to this day with 33.6" tall tires. The other hated it, said it made the front end so stiff that it felt unsafe and lowered it and bought the leveling keys.
So it's up to you what you want to do, but if you put 35's on either way, they will rub on tight turns and hit if you off-road much. Something right at or just under 34" would be a better choice IMO...
