Default New to Dodge Forum- Tire Question

Hey everybody im new on this site, just a quick question for yall. I have an 05 ram daytona with 22" Foose rims. They currently have 305/45/22 toyo proxes. My question is, should i get nitto 420s or bridgestone alenzas? Next question, should i stick with the 305/45 or go down to a 305/40? the 40 will be shorter, but wider. I just dont know if they will look too small on the truck, or if they will be better, i dunno. I just need a push in either direction. Im also looking for good wear as im only at like 20K on my proxes and i dont drive her that hard. Thank You in advance!

Go with the wider, taller tire! I like it when the wheel well is filled up with tire!

I run a 305/45/22 Yokohama Geolandar H/T-S G052 tire. I would definitely recommend the 305/45 over the 305/40, just on looks alone. I think my 45s don't fill out the wheel well I can only imagine what they 40 series would look like.

I have to agree with you on that one. If your are going to change the size from a 45 series to a 40 then you should atleast go wider with a 315, this would keep the aspect ratio the same for the tire and not mess with the speedo at all. If you just adjust the hieght of the tire and not the width the aspect ratio is a lot different even if you only go down by 5.

Welcome to DF!!

Go wider for more attitude and street presence, go taller for more of an off-road look.
