Question leveling kits

I have a 2008 2500 4x4 quad cab and was interested in a leveling kit. i was wondering if someone could help me out on which one to buy. One company's is 2" high and another company's is 2.5" high. Don't know which one to get, don't want to end up with the one that's either too high or not high enough. Can someone help me?

Don't count on this as the gospel, because I'm basing this on a 1500 but perfectly level is darn close to 2.25". To me, it's harder to tell it's not level if the front is 1/4" lower than 1/4" higher. I hate the "rake" look of the newer trucks, but if the front looks higher than the back, to me it looks really bad.
Judge it for yourself though. Place a jack under the frame in the front (so the tires stay on the ground when you jack it up), measure either the distance from the ground to the bumper or the distance from the top of the tire to the top of the tire well. Jack it up till it looks right to you and measure. Then get the kit that's closest.

Suspension connection is where i got mine looks pretty level now, mine is the 2.5 spacers where you have to take apart the shock to install.

Truefully I really like the front to be a hair higher than the back. I like the pre runner look but without all the fenders. Id'say get the 2.5 becuase the 2500's sit more level than the 1500. Its up to you, they even sell a 3" one were you can add a 1" block in the rear to get a small lift for cheap.

Actually I think that's what mmstar did to his 4x2 1500, it looks real good, gave him plenty of room for 35's too...

I actually had my front a bit higher than the rear, after installing the suspension lift, while I was there and had weight off the front of the truck, I turned the t-bars up enough to give it about 1/2" more in the front - method to my madness - I knew the next mod was a trans4mer grill/brush guard and winch, prolly in the neighborhood of 450 combined pounds.
I wasn't crazy about the look, you'd think you couldn't tell, just a half inch, but you can. But looks is all personal opinion, kx250 likes the front sitting up a bit, I like it perfectly level or the back just a hair higher (and I mean just a hair, because I really hate the stock rake look).
It was a good guess on my part though, because once the weight went on the front it's as level as the naked eye can tell...

2 is ok..but youd be much more happier with a 2.5...just saying. in the end its up to you..but like hammer said its really supposed to be 2.25. i like it .25 higher than lower personally. if you get a 2in your tire size will obviously be smaller than with a 2.5 kit. again just my 2 cents. i love my 2.5.. i sorta want like a .5in block in..but it looks good right now

Smile 04 Levelling kit

My 04 Ram 1500 - I'm contemplating a leveling kit. I don't see a 2.5" for the 04 Ram. Regardless, if I install one in my truck, should I (will I ) need to get new shocks? Any one have any suggestions on which brand is best? All help is appreciated.

Thanks
