Default Trailer Plug in

If I buy something like this

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Dodge...mZ360087742329

Will I lose the 4 prong plug in I have right now?

If so, is there a way to have both?

I'm not 100% sure but i belive this will replace the 4 way factory wiring that you have now and make it into a 7 pin plug, there is a adapter that fits a 7 pin plug and converts it back to the 4 flat so yes there is a way to have both but like i said i'm not to sure what is all involved in installing that kit

well the reason I want to do it is someone thought it would be funny to take my black piece of plastic that covers that hole. So now I feel like i have to do something. I never use the 7 pin plug. My seadoo trailer is a 4 pin. u3onejrdvp.... I can't decide. SO what I am looking at is spend 60 bucks, then buy a converter to make it useful to me. Or spend nothing and leave the hole....

Couldnt you just replace the black piece of missing plastic for a few bucks, might find it at a parts yard... just a thought!

i have the 7 pin plug on my truck and like Bigbody said there is an adapter that has the 7 pin plug on one end and it converts it to the 4 pin on the other.

i have booth, the seven pin mounted in the bumper and the 4 pin mounts to the tube of the hitch / receiver down under the bumper. if you're never going to use it........ it would have to be cheaper to get a replacement plug from the dealer, let alone a wrecker.
