Yes they are threaded. If you use a small piece of rubber it works real good.

Hi Guys, just want to add my question to this thread because I dont know how to replace the door lock pins of my Dodge Ram Quad Cab 2008.

I bought these ones:

How can I remove my factory pins? Screwing? Pulling? I`m afraid that I can damage something, so I want to ask you before ;-) Hope someone can help me with that...

THANK YOU!

I haven't tried it, but based on RaiderJay's answer, I would say take a small piece of rubber and wrap it around the existing pin to protect it, then take a pair of pliers and unscrew it. (Righty Tighty, Lefty Loosey). Installation would be the opposite.

Wrap a small piece of rubber around your new ones also because they can be rough to turn with just your fingers I had to use pliers to turn mine.

These look pretty good. I might have to invest in a set for myself!

Why do they rattle? Do they not install as well as the oem?

They are the same as OEM sizewise but the stock ones are rubber so when the shake you dont hear it. The rear ones were the ones that did it on mine.
