As far as a good tuner, you are out of luck until Superchips includes the '04. It's supposedly in the works, so I'd imagine it should only be a few months away.
'08 4.7 is a complete redesign, 16 plugs vs. 8, different compression ratio, better port flow,a new combustion system design and completely different piston/rod assembly. It actually more closely resembles the Hemi than your 4.7 and is commonly referred to as "the semi-hemi"...

so basically a mini hemi...that makes me wonder if the block is the same because maybe those heads will fit say an '04 block and see if ya get som better flow and maybe a little better burn with the dual plugs....
Does superchips have a website or anything that might have some info on the completion or at least something that saya they are working on it?

I was wondering what the new 4.7 had in it that was different. I have an '08 and was surprised that it had 310hp. I have the 3.21 rear-end and the five speed auto. On a recent trip, I averaged 20.5 mpg. Not too shabby.
from what i've read about them you have exactly what hammerz71 said...you have a mini hemi. the whole 4.7l design has been modified except maybe the block itself. if you look at the original design of the 4.7l, mostly the heads you will see that chrysler was leaning that direction from the begining.
