I put Taylor shorties on top of iridium plugs (I didn't pay full price for these, it's nice to have friends) and got a little bit better gas mileage and the engine was smoother.

did you just take one plug wire off at a time? or all at once?

If you took just one off at a time, it should have been simple to get them back to correct...

I did one plug at a time, and tried to run the wires as I did each plug. When doing wires should I replace the plug on each of the coil packs?

well I rechecked the firing order with the above diagram and everything is correct. I have found that it will idle at 500 rpm and that is when it runs the worst. most the time it will idle at 750-800rpm, but it will drop down till 500 and run worse.
