08 Dodge Ram Issues

Sounds like the engine control module or the gauge module both covered under warranty....I know not cool when you purchase a new vehicle but given the times, Chrysler is most cooperative now, as all the Manufactures are suffering. So be prepared for much hand wringing and apologies, and hopefully a quick fix.
If not from your dealer then go direct to Chrysler

With Ignition off, remove fuse # 31
get in the truck, close door and buckle seat belt (keeps the 5 ding alarm quiet)
turn the key to ON (not start)
wait about 10-20 seconds and you should hear one or two dings
turn key to off
replace fuse #31

Probably a bad gauge cluster...at least it's covered
