Default Biggest lift without major modifications?

I want to raise my 2004 1500 SLT, i have heard there is limits of how high you can lift it without having to angle the axles or drive train, and modify shift linkage, i was looking at a 6" lift kit online but did not know if i can do this without having to do major work other than instaling the kit. (sorry if this has been discussed before, i searched and didnt find anything)

If you wanted to lift it really high get a 6" lift which is really 5" and a 3" body lift with 37" tires. I really don't advice lifting a 1500 that with that big of tire becuase stuff will be prone to breakage but If you really want to thats how you get get around 10-11" higher.

i say 4 inch on IFS, with 3 inch body. Hammer will say 35 are the biggest he would recommend on a IFS.

Get the If your only going with 35" then the rancho 4" lift is perfect. Its not high but makes the trucl look even with filled wheel wheel and doesn't make the truck look cheap. Big lifts to me just look cheap and are point less, the highest i'll go is 6" or 8" on a huge ford.

i didn't know you wanted 35's. All you need is the 4 inch rancho lift kit. And a lift kit will get rid of the nose down affect. A body lift kit will not. you can do a body lift kit in addition to the suspension and get a really nice lift. And fit 36s or 37s. So i say do the 4 inch lift. and 35s. then when the tires get worn down, and the body lift and but the bigger tires on then. just my 2 cents on how to spread out your cost.

id hold off on the body lift becuase it makes a huge gap between the bed and frame. get the suspension lift then if you want more add a body lift since it's two totally different things. But don't worry rancho makes lifts for the 2003-2005 torsion bar suspension. I just hate talking about this stuff becuase I really want to get a rancho kit with 35" and black wheels but I just don't have the money.

lol thats what i want nice black wheels with 35 M/A's.

i might do a couple smaller things before i get straight into lift kits like cold air intake, remove stock pulley belt fan with electric and a nice exhuast. and a couple more questions here, how many CFPM do i need to be moving with an electric fan? and if i get a true dual exhaust straight from headers to cats to muffler etc do i need to modify the computer to read from 2 cats?
