Why No True-Duals On A Hemi?
If you go with a loud system then yes you will hear the drone alot more than a quiet gibson or similar system. I hate the cab noise of a loud system,
While I haven't gotten under my pickup yet (just got it Saturday)--has anyone removed just the final muffler that is behind the right rear tire? Is that necessary to keep it sounding decent? I tried removing one of the three mufflers on my Chrysler and it sounded like a plane (V6 though LOL).
In my previous pickups I have pulled the stock muffler out and had a magnaflow or flowmaster welded in. Adds a nice tone...

Don't the Hemis have a 3rd catalytic converter after the Y pipe? If so, that would be why nobody will do it. I have true duals on my 4.7, but it only has 2 cats, one on each manifold down pipe. No BS emission interference. I love the sound. I have all 8 cylinders firing on the highway, so it doesn't sound like ****.

Thats what i plan i doing with mine, just buy the Gibson superflow muffler and cut out old one and have new one welded in. $125 bucks + labor then just buy tip . I had that in my Dakota 4.7 just like that and it sounded great not to loud but deep V8.
