If you want to get a tonneau cover, don't waste $90 on the spoiler. The tonneau will help the mileage more than that thing will.

Doubt it helps gas mileage...a .5 increase could be from anything including a change in wind direction. I've always thought it was for looks and tailgate protection..

That's what I got it for, you're fooling yourself if you think that piece of ABS plastic is going to help mileage in a 340+ hp truck. I had a bunch of scratches on my tailgate, and it carried the black of the tonneau out past the tailgate nicely.

i have the spoiler on my 08.. I like it. i doubt it adds mpg but w/e looks good.

a few years ago when the SRT10 Ram got some tweaks
one of the Chrysler VP's bragged that the rear SRT wing
was a particularly good design because
it reduced both drag and rear lift,
where most rear wings only reduce rear lift and INCREASE drag

so a question worth asking is:
does a SRT10 style rear wing
improve Highway cruise MPG more than
a 'tailgate thingie' ?
