Your cash your truck! Just remember the higher the lift the more unstaible the handling! A 4x4 is better at coping with it due to the front drive stabilizing the suspension geometry, centre of gravity and weight transfer. The kind of lifts you're talking about I would be scared to turn the steering with any force as tires have better grip then roof panels!!!!

umm i know that rough country, cst suspension and fabtech all make 2wd lifts as for your year not 100% sure but yeah man lift the 2wd its sweet still and thats what i did with mine i actually took mine stock with just some 33 mt's and went on some pretty decent off road trails with all my 4x4 friends i was actually the last one to get stuck of course you cant hit everything they hit but it'll still get you from point a to b most the time sure you gotta hit stuff a little faster but you have no front axle to break so it can handle it alot better plus yeah lifts are way cheaper with 2wd and my fav quote is "my lifted 4x4 is a lifted 2x4 99% of the time" when i went wheeling with my stock 2wd the only reason i got stuck was lack of clearence and we were wheeling in the spring in canada so you know it was sloppy but anyways i hope that helps

thank you for the input. i just want the lift for the look. I do nothing extreme with my truck any ways.

Well if anyone knows if the 06-07 suspension would fit on an 08, that would be greatlly appreciated if you could tell me

You would have to call the company and ask because i know that some companies havent updated their years and some 07 lifts that say dont fit 08s actually fit 08s because the website has not updated them.

And if your just going for looks why dont you get a 3in body lift. Its a lot cheaper. You could add on a leveling kit and blocks to get a total of around 5 in lift for about half the price of a 6in suspension kit. Just an idea

There is no difference in the look if you get gap guards for it. Look at mine and mmstar23 and see the difference. None I have 6 inch suspension and he has 2.5 level and body lift. His was a lot cheaper. And we both have 2wd's
