Default Hood scoops

On my truck I have been contemplating what to do first as far as modding goes. And one thing that I really want to do is something with the hood. So what I was wondering, is what everyone has for hood scoops.
If you have one, would you be able to post up a picture of the style, and a link of where to find them. Also, anyone who just added one that isn't functional, if they could post a picture of those were anyone to happen to have that style. Any help on this subject is very much appreciated!

Personal opinion: forget the scoop, buy a steel cowl hood. From what ive seen, its not much more $ to have the real deal.

Is that the same truck just different grilles?
But I kinda like the style of that one.

Something kinda like that one.

And Semigod, do you mean this Cowl:

or this kind:

I also see that it isn't the one for a Dodge, but if there really is a difference. Never really done much performance modification wise before, so I have some questions.

I'd believe them to be the same.

Has anyone seen one like this before?

Kinda strikes me as... odd. Never seen something like that before, and it's different.

Now I guess as another question, what are the differences between the hoods? I'm not exactly getting one just for improved performance but to give it the look I'm trying to achieve with the truck.

Btw Air Ram, don't you have an intake of some kind behind your grille? I'm remembering someone did from like a year ago when I first looked into the Rams, and could swear that it was that truck that I saw it on.

And one last thing, how do you think that it would look to have a black hood on the truck? Only said because I don't know how well the paint will match up being that whoever had my truck before me didn't really wax it, and the paint has faded rather horribly along the truck mainly in certain areas.

This is the 1 i have, (non functioning):

I think this is a nice option depending on the look your going for:

Before i put my hood on i seriously debated painting it semigloss black to kind of go for the late 60's early 70's muscle car look. I dont think it would look bad. If you went with something like that id probabally do the grille shell in the same color with a nice chrome grille. Then maybe paint the headlights black or run some halos. Just a couple thoughts.

Air Ram is that hood of yours just a fiberglass scoop thats just glued on or is it an actual steel hood? If its a steel hood where did you get it? that thing looks sick!!!

My hood is a Fiberglass/Carbon Fiber outlay.... I just had it painted completely to cover the Carbon Fiber look...

Its a Hambek Customs Sweet 16 series hood.

No, I do NOT have a Ram Air intake behind it... Its just for looks, and cooling the under hood temps.

I do have some more pics... I will try to post some more.

Default APM Ram Air Hood

I have the same hood as RaderJay and, I have the Ram Air box w/K&N filter.

http://www.ramairhood.com/photo_gall...dr_gallery.htm

Here's info about the hood's functionality. I've checked the intake air temp with my SuperChips and it's within a degree or two from ambient temp.
http://www.ramairhood.com/ram_air_system_comparison.htm

I checked another Ram this morning that has a non-functional hood scoop but has a CAI with K&N filter--Intake temp was 25 degrees (F) warmer than ambient temp.
