Is the keyless entry stock on a slt 1500 and if so how do i get the remote for it

 

Was'nt stock on mine,bought mine on e-bay for $60 with two remotes and fitted it myself,works perfect.

 

If you lost your remote, call dodge and i think they ask for your VIN, and send you new remotes with new keycodes, and the reciever automotically declines any signal from the old remotes.

 

Not trying to hijack the post but I have a quick question about the keyless entry. Mine came stock with keyless entry, but I have recently upgraded to an alarm, and I believe they aren't using the keyless entry. Does anyone know if I can remove the keyless entry and then sell it?

When I bought my 03 Ram (used) the salesman did not know if it had keyless or not...the parts guy ran the vin number and it listed everything the truck came with...no keyless entry, so I bought the module on ebay for $65, installed it myself and the dealer programmed it for $40....pretty simple, actually

How about if the truck has no power locks? Any chance to retrofit? Thanks, Tommy

 

As stated in the "I found this on Ebay" thread. I have personally added power locks and keyless entry to a Ram. I don't know if it is possible to wire the aftermarket actuator to a factory keyless system since I haven't tried it myself, I used a Crimestopper 865RKEII keyless system and it works great.
