OK I know this has been asked before, but is there anybody who has a sub box under the rear seat, where you can KEEP the fold out floor thing? I know there was somebody who had that. I am wondering if anybody makes a box to buy or if its a custom deal. I would like to make my own if possible. Thanks again

 

if i am not mistaken are the floor flaps mounted to the actual lower bracket of the seat? If so then the easiest thing to do instead of paying hundreads of dollars for a box to fit and be limited in the subs you can use due to mounting depth restrictions, You can do what i did to my bench. I uses 2" square tubing and a few shop tools to raise the seat off of the floor giving me room for amps and more mounting depth as well as giving the passengers more room. Tall people love this!! the other thing if you decide to do this would be to get a bottom firing box so that the flaps are not hitting the sub @ max excursion. Out side of that you would have to pay someone to make a box that would fit flush with that ridge where tha flap seats.

 

I have a 2006 QC and went with the sub box sonic electronic offers it fits 2 10 inch subs the box fit under the rear seat very well I put my amp under my driver side front seat I must warn you you will hve to get some great sub woofers because these boxes have little air space for the woofer I went with Image Dynamics subs they are the best for that box had to get them from woofers ect .com but the sound like 12s I tried 2 10 inck kicker comp subs and they sounded crappy as hell and they arent cheap subs..I will try to post some pics up this afternoon....

 

This my 2005 ram. This was the thinest sub box I found. The fold out thing that you guys are talking about def. would not fit. This box fits my 12" Pioneer Premier which sounds really good. It does not hit as hard as the non shallow subs but for the price and the size it sounds damn good.

Its 5/8" MDF coated with a type of rhino lining. And comes with the metal grille so when people sit on the seat, it does not have a chance for the person to damage the sub.

I've got a Fox Acoustics underseat sub box that drops right in the compartment on the drivers side underseat area. It's sticks up less than an inch. I don't have the fold out floor, but it doesn't extend out to the mounting hardware, so I believe it would still work with it. It's for sale, I've even got a 10" JL sub mounted in it right now... only used it 4 months, but I wanted to switch to a smaller mount sub so I could reclaim my underseat storage space. I've got an Alpine MRP-M450 Mono Sub amp for sale too.

 

crutchfield.com there are premade sub enclosures for our trucks that can drop right down in there for a good price too i might add...alredy have subs in my trans am so im looking at a system for my truck too

Most of your Audio Shops in your area can make you a custom thin box to fit under there. I had the same problem in my 2004 1 ton ford had to have a custom box made to fit under there. If you can make that work you might look at low profile subs

 

Everyone I have an idea, Instead of buying a custome fit box, Get a piece of 3/4 mdf and cut it perfect to fit over the storage compartment under the rear seats. You would have to rip out all the carpet under there, seal it perfect and put sound deadener. Then bolt the piece of mdf over all the storage compartments ofcourse sealing it all. The subs would be mounted to the mdf. YOu would get the maximum airspace possible under the back seats. This is really hard to explain but please give your input. I am tired of my huge dual 12" ported box replacing my back seat.
