New here and wasn't sure where to post this so I thought I'd try here. We are looking at buying a 2008 half ton mega cab. Gas not diesel and I was just wondering if someone could tell me what the fuel mileage is for one of these. Also it says it has the customer preferred package 26g, we are also looking at one that has the 26f. Could someone tell me what these packages have. Thanks.

 

Not sure what the packages are on the '08's and the gas mpg's is going to be hard to determine.

Stock with NOTHING done to the truck and driving it like Miss Daisy, you can figure to get around 9-12 city and 14-15 hwy. Now if you start adding things to the truck, these numbers are going to change depending on what you add and how you drive. When I say add things, I mean modding it anyway shape or form from programmers, exhaust, engine mods, to caps and rails. Everything plays a factor in the actual mileage.

 

If you're asking that already means the mpg is too low for you...get a smaller truck or a car. For the size of a megacab it gets decent mileage...it is a 2500 chassis after all. In comparison I get around 15-16 city and 23 hwy...my truck is tiny next to that thing.

 

The mega is a beast. MPG doesnt matter. I think its the old...."If you have to ask, you cant afford it" rule when your talking 2500/3500HD mpg trucks.
