hey everyone, I just wanted some of your opinions because I am thinking about de-badging the "ram 1500" off the sides of my truck and replacing it with the "RAM" from the '09 Ram. Do any of you think this is a good idea and will look good, or have any of you done it to your trucks already?

Thank You

I debadged my truck and left it that way, I prefer that look, it's so much cleaner.

Same here, debadged everything...the glue that Dodge uses is WAAYYYY more durable than my old Ford Focus. It took a herculean effort in getting the badges off and the glue gunk unstuck from the paint.

Use lots of heat, Goo-Gone, and be sure to put a heavy buffing wheel to it to clean it up when you're done. []

Once you go throught the work of taking the badging off, why would you put something back on? If you are worried, I can assure you it will not be mistaken for a Chevy.

Elbow grease works the best. I used several products when I did mine and nothing really works very good. As said above the adhesive Dodge uses is very good....

I used the fishing line idea

Just remember being an 02 you might have a shadow effect left where the badges were. I would find a 3M eraser wheel that hooks to a drill. First use the fishing line.

Apply heat first with a heat gun or a good hair dryer. I softens the adhesive.
