Question removing second muffler on exhaust

Has anyone removed the smaller rear muffler on the exhaust leaving the rest of the exhaust stock? Does this produce considerable drone or have much effect at all?

Thanks

it (a resonator) is there to reduce highway cruise 'Drone' noise
and Dodge claims removing it does not improve hp or performance

the similar resonators nearer the engine on the 5.7 MDS V8s
are there to reduce an annoying noise that happens when 4 cyl MDS kicks in

My 08 only has the rear one. Nothing ahead of the muffler but the cats in the Y-pipe.
