I would definatley not use any type of solvent, goo gone and that magic citrus stuff from the family dollar store works well. just put some old fashioned muscle into it and you are done, my dodge was the first one i did and it was very easy. apply goo gone, citrus stuff, and rub, when you get tired, drink a beer and tell kids to start rubbing off the glue, i did and everything was easy.

when i did it i went to home depot and got some goo gone and a plastic scraper... the plastic scraper wont scratch the paint and the goo gone takes off the adhesive pretty good... still need some elbow grease but it all came off and cant even tell they were there.

Watch the video. And use the wheel. Once you use one, you'll never do it any other way.

I use kerosene or seafoam and a razorblade, BUT extreme caution with the blades as most will scratch the clear coat. I had my own business professionally detailing so I am very steady and trained with the blade. I woulbn't ever use carb cleaner. That;s some bad stuff right there! That will eat away everything in sight without you realizing.

If you have kept rubbing and rubbing the same spot you have most likely scuffed the outer surface and it it visible. Youneed to get a good liquid rubbing compound or better yet, get that Mequir's Scratch renover because that has tiny micro abrasives that will help buff out those marks.

About that earsing wheel, cation must be taken when using that sorta thing. When you run the paint without any lubrication (i.e. wax, rubbing coumpound or any liquids) You heat up the surface extremely fast and can burn right through the clear coat! It doesn't take much more than a medium speed and too muchpressure to burn right through. Lower speeds and slight contact and keep moving the wheel and you'll be fine

Thanks for giving the info on the video. If it is as easy as that guy makes it look, I think the eraser wheel is the way to go. But I can see how easy it would be to mess up the paint!

You would have to really be pressing hard in the same spot for a long time for that to damage the paint. The glue comes off long before that.

old credit card and goo gone works well. I replaced my 07 BIG HORN letters with the 08, 09 jumping Ram and it looks great. Now I am going to put a 09 Dodge emblem on the tailgate after I de-badge the little one from 07
