Unhappy toppped up power stearing fluid

I just read a post on changing power stearing fluid because I justed topped up mine yesterday. I didn't use transmission fluid, I just used normal power stearing fluid. Is this going to mess things up for me? I'm a contractor and have to go and do an estimate about an hour away this morning. I would like to know if I should do someting about it before I leave.
Thanks guys, I've been reading this forum for 6 months now and I know you will have the answers. Cheers

I guess I should have mentioned that I have an 04 quad cab 4x4with the 4.7L. This might make a differance.

Thanks thats just what I wanted to hear. I'm just going to leave now. I was concerned that the fluid would gel or something like that would happen.
Cheers

Topping it off and and driving a few miles will not have any lasting effect. The fluid should be drained and replaced with ATF+4. AFT+4 has very different specs.

Just a note. I replaced the PS hose under warranty just short of 36,000 miles (bad clamp). Just today noticed that I am losing some fluid again, topping it off every few months. It appears that the cooler is leaking due to rust. I'm in the northeast where we just cannot get enough salt, but 4 years and 55,000 miles is unacceptable. At least the cooler is only about $70.
