I am thinking of getting this spoiler for my 2008 Dodge ram 1500 truck, but I currently have the plastic one that is screwed on to my tailgate.

I am sure that if I take this plastic spoiler off, there will be holes in my tailgate. How do you fill these in? Just go to a body shop and have them fill in and paint over it?

Yep. A little body filler, primer and paint to get rid of the holes unless you find a matching color tailgate without the spoiler.
