Default Don't like chrome bumpers, Any aftermarket choices?

Hey,

I have a 2008 Dodge Ram 1500 and I don't like the chrome front/rear bumpers. I would like to find something where it would match the color of my truck.

I called 1 dealership and they told me I would have to go with aftermarket bumpers. I seen the Xenon one, is there any others? I also have fog lights as well.

Thanks

Dodge Ram sport models come with body colored front and rear bumpers. You might be able to get one of them.

I seen 2007's with sport bumpers but not 2008's, I am wondering if you could just use the 07's.

That is a possibility. I don't think the body changed at all from 07-08.

I was informed by another dealership that the 07 has different mounting brackets then the 2008. I could get the 07 but I would have to change the mounting brackets out. I don't know how much of a pain in the a$$ that is.

I guess my best bet is to try and find a aftermarket one so it's not that much trouble to change out.

That seems very odd that they would have different mounting brackets considering the body style is the same. The only other difference I've noticed between the 07 and 08 is the badging, which is obviously easy to change.
However, the 08's did offer the sport package with the body colored bumpers. I had looked at one when shopping for my truck and actually liked it, but they didn't offer the "Popular Equipment Group" on the Sport models, which is something I wanted. You should be able to get a body colored bumper.

There is the Truck Master Designs bumper cover. Thats what I have on mine. It goes right over the chrome front bumper.
