Another fog light thread
Hello all,
I'm a new Dodge truck owner. Also new to this forum. Saturday I put fogs on my truck, I got the kit that does not have to have the computer programmed. It was an easy install, fogs are connected to the left low beam wire and the switch is just a button that I put in the plug that is about 6" below the regular light switch. I'll have to resize some pictures before I post them. Everyone I've talked to has liked their dodge truck so hopefully mines a good one. I got the fog light kit from the local dodge dealer.

The kit come's with a new add on wire harness and a new small switch for base model trucks. higher end trucks come wired. But you need to buy a jumper harness that go's from the right side light to the left and to the factory plug. Then you need to buy a new head lamp switch that has fog lights. After that you use a starscan scanner to enable fog lights in the tipm. very easy. If the truck is pre wired we never install the other harness and small round switch. But you have already done the long way so as long as your lights come on great

I put it that way so the light is more visable when on, not that it matters though because the fogs go off when I turn off the lights. I've actually thought about attaching the hot wire to the battery directly, then seeing the light would be important, otherwise dead battery if I forgot to turn the switch off.
