Cool Tranny Filter and 100% fluid change ??'s

Hey all it will soon be time for the dreaded 60,000 mile maintenance job on my "Brandie". It will be closer to 61,500 by the time I get home from the Catpan. I bought a cargo trailer so I’m also doing all of this for the tow home. Here are my questions:
I'll be replacing all the fluids in both the Tranny and the Rear axle with Royal Purple Synthetics.

1. What is the best Tranny filter to use? I've heard Federated is a good one and a better price than the Mopar replacement.

2. Also I’ll be adding an extra Tranny cooler at this time too. I wanted to get one of those deep PML tranny pans but they are just a little bit out of my $ range right now. But I figure with the extra cooler and synthetics’ that should cover me on keeping the temps down. I’ll buy the deeper pan later on down the line.

3. I had read somewhere about some type of “additive” for the Rear axle. What is this additive for if I’m going to synthetics? Or is this additive needed for all Rear axles??

Your thoughts and suggestions please, H-

The "additive" is used if the truck has a limited slip. I believe it calls for four ounces.
