Default A little help with my first lifted truck?

Yeah, so I ditched my 4 door, 23 mpg audi, for an '04, 5.7 liter, 8 inch lifted ram.

Do I regret it? not really. Sure the gas mileage really sucks compared to a car, but its a blast to drive, and being able to actually go 4 wheeling is great. Not to mention I get lots of looks . (I also needed the bed for work and hauling my bike around.)

Anyways, I have a couple questions about it that I'm hoping someone can help me out on. First- The cruise control doesn't work past 65. Its totally reliable at or below 65 mph, but once it accelerates past it just shuts off. And I can;t set it past 65 either. It will set for a second, then shut off?? I don't think its a fuse cause its very persistent with those conditions. It ALWAYS works under 65...

Second- Sometimes the passenger front window won't roll down when you use the passenger window switch. It will however work from the drivers side window switch. Its an intermittent problem. 99% of the time it works fine though. (Only happened twice in 3 weeks...). Fuse going out? Faulty wire somewhere? Window motor going out?

And Last- how can I add some more low-end torque to the truck? (its a hemi) When I'm cruising it pulls pretty good when I get on it to get around someone, but from a dead stop, its very sluggish. I understand that there's only so much you can do because of how much the truck weighs, but I'm sure theirs something I can buy to help? I'm going to add a CAI to it, its already got dual 3" exhaust, possibly a bully dog kit when I get the money, but what else would give me the power I'm wanting without having to stroke or do anything major to the engine? I hear people mention gear ratios a lot? idk...

thanks in advance! I'll get some pics up of it in the picture thread soon.

Sorry I don't have answers to your questions but I ditched a 05 Toyota Camry 4 Banger for my 08 Ram QC, I got the Hemi too, but the truck is so much more fun on the freeway than the toyota, when I get on someones *** in the truck they get out of the way in the toyota they just flipped me off

hahaha so true. Especially with how loud mine is. I've had a friend tell me it sounded like he was being run down by a monster truck.

Bigger gears will help you fix that sluggish feel from a dead stop. That and a tuner would do some good.

A Big +1, you need to re-gear. It's not that you're losing low end torgue, it's that your effective gear ratio gets worse as your tire diameter gets larger. 4.56 gears will bring your low end back...

I think this is the best way to describe it. I have heard good things about both. If I had the hemi I would go with the bullydog. My buddy says he feels no improvement at all with the superchips.

Well how big of tires do you got. Basically since it's a hemi gas engine you'll never really get the truck to feel stock power wise. That's were diesels come in but in your case re gear but dont expect to do 80mph on the freeway. I think you'll be lucky to do 70mph with out over revving. Post some pics though I want to lift my truck someday.

As for your passenger window problem, if it works fine from the driver side switch, it is more than likely the passenger switch thats faulty.
