Question Dash wiring

Has anyone had their upper dash cover off? I am wanting to upgrade my speaker system since I only have the 4 speaker system and was wondering if the wiring is there even if you don't have the Infinity system.
I can't believe that they would have a whole different dash harness just for that. They do not show a plug in harness for the Infinity system.
Also, does the cover closest to the windshield (with the speaker holes) just carefully pry up to remove or does all of it need to be removed? I am wanting to add some dash speakers to get the treble up near my ears instead of at my kneecaps!!
It is an 08 QC.

Well, I got the dash cover off and I'm not seeing any wiring.

I really notice a difference in tunes from my 08 with the infiniti to my 03 with 4 spkrs (my work vehicle). Haven't taken either apart to see how hard it is.

the infinity system uses a different head unit and has an amp behind the glove box that runs to the speakers if I remember right, so I doubt that it would wired and I'm pretty sure to put speakers in the dash you would have to use a crossover and line output converter or get a new sterio unless you moved your door speaker wires up there or something.

I went and bought a set of Infinity Reference 3.5" speakers @ Best Buy. They came with optional filters to block the damaging bass. I just tapped into the door speaker wires behind the head unit. I removed the door panels to see what the color codes were.
Sounds much better now. Nice and clear.
The stock door speakers have better bass than the 4 way Pioneers and Sony Explodes, so I can now use them for the bass and the dash for treble. It only took about an hour.
My next truck will have the best factory system. The Musicgate system in our 09 Caliber rocks with 9 speakers including rear sub and 458 watts of power!!
