didn't know it had a different 2nd for upshift and kickdown, that's news to me. but still, 2 overdrive gears, 4th and 5th. i don't think it hits 5th with tow/haul on.

That is correct. It is actually a 6-speed tranny but only uses 5 during normal upshifts.
