Dodge Ram, How much US content?
#11
My 08 ram is built in Warren MI, 68% u.s. 19% mexico. My engine and trans are made in the U.S. (4.7L)
The 09's have U.S. content of about 52%. Technically, it is no longer a U.S. made truck. This applies to most "american" cars. I think my Honda has a higher U.S. content.
I work for a engine parts supplier and you would be surprised what comes from India and China now.

My 06 2500 was born in mexico, I'm sure the hemi's are built in windsor ontario.
My 6sp manual was built in Brazil, leaf springs in mexico, some of the electrical wire ( fuse coumputer ect Z) has made in mexico, and made in Canada tags..
This is the only dodge product I have ever owned, I have owned Fords built in Canada and the U.S.A and lots of issues.
Could be they were ford, and not applicable to U.S.A made dodge products.
At this stage in the game, I don't care if the republic of Toga Toga built my truck, all I care is that I get a good truck.

at this moment in time
things are looking terrible for Chrysler's long term survival
and for the fate of her 66,000 employees
one of the saddest things is that the Satillo Mexico
plants for the Ram and the 5.7 Hemi
may be one of the few things to survive
under some other ownership
but still making pickup trucks
